Get ready for a big, bright, beautiful journey! The Diamond Academy of Performing Arts is thrilled to announce our upcoming production of Shrek The Musical KIDS. This hilarious and heartwarming show follows the lovable ogre Shrek and his wisecracking sidekick Donkey as they embark on a monster-sized quest to rescue the feisty Princess Fiona. Packed with high-energy musical numbers and a colorful cast of fairytale misfits, this adventure is an absolute blast for young performers!
At DAPA, the rehearsal process goes far beyond putting on a spectacular, high-caliber show. As we bring the swamp to life, our directors focus on foundational growth—helping each cast member build essential self-confidence, teamwork, performance and public speaking skills that will serve them both on and off the stage.
Rehearsal Schedule: Wednesdays 12:50-3:00pm
Ages/Grades: ages 6-13 / Grade 2-5 (Grade 1 special permission)

Performance: Friday, Dec 11 at Rancho Romero School 6:30 pm (Performer Call Time 2:50 pm)
Performance: Sunday, Dec 13 at Dougherty Valley Performing Arts (Center Call Time TBD)

No experience necessary – just a desire to have fun and work hard!

In order to set your child up for success and for the show to stage ready tech and performance scheduled classes are mandatory. If there is a conflict please reach out to see if we can make a work around work. If I am informed early enough, we can usually make it work. Thanks!

Once registered there are no refunds, transfers or credits issued.
Term Cost $1015.00. This includes costume, props & set rental. (Not including base layer of clothing and shoes and sometimes clothing students already have.) Once registered there are no refunds, transfers or credits issued for our Musical Production classes. The price increase from 2025 reflects updated Rancho Romero insurance requirements but note that this increased cost has not been fully passed onto customer.
This class is a wonderful introduction to the World of Musical Theater!

Onsite Afterschool Program: We offer the convenience of having the rehearsals on site at school. No afterschool pick up! Get a couple more hours to do what you need to do while you child is learning, havinf fun and making friends. Perfect for your family's busy lifestyle.
Showcase Performance: The program culminates in a dazzling live performance where your child will shine as they bring the story of Willy Wonka, Kids to life!

Notes
Please bring a 3 ring binder with lined paper, pencils, eraser, highlighter and water bottle and snack to each class. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes for moving around in as we will be dancing and moving around. No Crocs or Flip flops
